MetaTrader Adds Benzinga News Across MT4 and MT5

MetaQuotes has added Benzinga News to MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader.com, placing real-time US market coverage inside the interfaces traders already use for charts and orders. The feed is available in multiple languages, with a one-month free trial offered to traders worldwide. The integration also gives brokers a dedicated MetaTrader news feed that they can distribute to their clients. That broker-controlled channel is separate from Benzinga content carried directly on the MetaQuotes website.

The Product Is News, Not Analyst Research

Benzinga has completed several platform integrations in quick succession, but they do not all distribute the same product. The MetaTrader agreement concerns real-time US market news, while TradingView added Benzinga Analyst Insights, which summarises the reasoning behind sell-side ratings and target changes.

Meritz Securities uses another combination inside MOUM, where Benzinga supplies both Stock News and Bulls Say Bears Say. The latter compresses positive and negative analyst arguments rather than acting as a general breaking-news wire.

Keeping those products distinct matters for traders assessing a headline. A reported event, an analyst’s interpretation and a community opinion can all move a price, but they have different sources, disclosure standards and shelf lives.

MetaQuotes Is Building More Around the Trading Terminal

MetaTrader has traditionally been associated with charts, order entry, automated strategies and broker connectivity. Adding a news feed reduces the need to leave the terminal when an economic release, earnings result or corporate event changes the reason for a trade.

MetaQuotes is also extending the wider infrastructure around MT5. Scope Prime recently integrated the company’s Ultency matching and aggregation engine, while FinanceFeeds reported that MetaQuotes changed Ultency’s broker pricing model to support isolated execution environments.

MetaTrader.com now sits alongside those broker tools as a financial information hub containing news, charts, an economic calendar, analysis and algorithmic-trading resources. The Benzinga arrangement supports that expansion from trading software toward a broader information environment.

Distribution Through Brokers Is the Larger Opportunity

Renat Fatkhullin, Chief Executive of MetaQuotes, said dedicated feeders allow brokers to deliver the content directly to traders. For Benzinga, that creates a wholesale distribution route across many broker-branded terminals rather than depending only on traffic to its own website.

The model resembles the wider move toward embedded financial content. Benzinga already places news in the Markets App beside trading functions and offers a video feed designed for third-party platforms.

For brokers, the commercial decision will depend on what happens after the trial. The release does not state the subscription price, revenue-sharing model, languages supported or whether every MT4 and MT5 user sees the same depth of coverage.

Embedded News Creates Its Own Controls

A headline beside an order ticket can shorten reaction time, but speed increases the importance of timestamps, corrections and source labels. A trader needs to know whether an item is breaking news, a scheduled disclosure, commentary or sponsored material before acting on it.

Language distribution adds another control point. Translation can broaden access to US market information, but company guidance, legal qualifications and technical accounting terms need to retain their meaning across versions.

MetaQuotes and Benzinga did not provide latency measurements or explain how corrections propagate through broker terminals. Those details will matter more to active users than the number of places where the feed appears.

The integration gives Benzinga direct reach into one of retail trading’s largest software ecosystems and gives MetaQuotes more content around execution. Its success will depend on whether brokers keep the service after the free period and whether traders find the feed timely enough to replace a separate news terminal.

Brokers Still Decide How the Feed Reaches Clients

MetaTrader is distributed through broker environments, so technical availability does not guarantee that every trader receives an identical service. A broker may decide whether to activate a feed, how it is packaged after the trial and which client groups can access it.

That creates room for differentiation in a market where many firms offer the same base trading terminal. One broker can add real-time news and local-language research while another competes primarily on price, execution or education, even though both describe their platform as MT4 or MT5.

It also means Benzinga’s addressable audience is larger than its immediately paying audience. Conversion will depend on broker adoption, end-user engagement and the cost of carrying the feed after the free month, none of which is disclosed in the release.

Coverage will matter by asset class as well. Benzinga’s strength in US equities can add information to multi-asset MT5 environments, while many MT4 users remain focused on currencies, metals and index contracts. Brokers will have to decide whether the feed is broad enough for their client mix or whether it sits beside specialist macroeconomic and regional sources.

The integration therefore competes for limited attention inside the terminal as much as it competes with other news providers. Useful filtering by instrument, watchlist and event type may determine whether traders keep the panel open. The release confirms availability but does not describe those controls or the notification settings offered to end users.

Brokers also need a policy for outages and delayed items. If the terminal continues to show prices while its news feed is unavailable, users may incorrectly assume that the absence of a headline means no event occurred. Visible service status and publication timestamps can reduce that risk, particularly during earnings releases and macroeconomic announcements when the value of a real-time feed is highest.

The commercial case is retention as much as direct subscription revenue. A trader who can read a relevant item, review the chart and manage an order in one place has less reason to leave the broker’s environment. Whether that convenience improves informed decisions depends on coverage and controls, not merely on embedding another panel.
